1. Who these terms are with
Bilzie is provided by SIA EMPLV, a company based in Rīga, Latvia, registration number 40203510915 ("we", "us", "our"). These terms are an agreement between you and SIA EMPLV. By signing in to Bilzie you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Bilzie.
If you use Bilzie for a company or another organisation, you accept these terms on its behalf and confirm that you are allowed to.
How we handle personal data, including the cookies Bilzie and its website analytics set, is described in the Privacy Policy.
2. What Bilzie is
Bilzie is a web app for keeping track of subscriptions, one-off expenses, invoices, and loans given or taken, for personal life or for a business. It shows what is due, what you have marked as paid, and which invoices you have saved. It also exports reports as CSV and can create monthly invoice folders in Google Drive.
Bilzie is a record-keeping tool. It does not move money, connect to your bank, pay bills, collect or upload invoices, or file anything with any authority. It is not accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice.
Bilzie only knows what you tell it. A bill counts as paid when someone marks it paid, and an invoice counts as saved when someone ticks it. Totals and reports are only as accurate as those entries.
3. Your account
- You sign in with a Google or GitHub account. Keeping that account secure is your responsibility. Anyone who can sign in to it can sign in to Bilzie as you.
- An account is for one person. Do not share it.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use Bilzie.
- Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account.
4. Workspaces, roles, and invitations
Your content lives in workspaces. Each workspace has an owner, and may have admins and members.
- Owners and admins manage the workspace's settings, invite people, change roles, and connect Google Drive.
- Members work with the expenses, loans, and invoice checks in the workspace.
- Everyone in a workspace can see its content. Invite only people who should see it, and remove people who no longer should.
- Records a person added stay in the workspace after they are removed, so its history stays complete.
- If you invite someone, you confirm that you are allowed to share their email address with us for that purpose.
For a business workspace, the business is responsible for who it lets in and what they do there.
5. Your content
What you enter in Bilzie is yours. You give us permission to store, process, display, and back it up only as needed to run Bilzie for you and the members of your workspaces. We do not claim ownership of it and do not use it for anything else.
- You are responsible for what you enter, and for having the right to enter it. This includes information about other people, such as a loan counterparty.
- Do not enter full card numbers, bank credentials, passwords, or other secrets. The payment method field is meant for a label, not card details.
- Links you add, such as invoice or agreement URLs, point to places outside Bilzie. What happens there is between you and that service.
The Bilzie name, design, and software belong to SIA EMPLV. These terms give you the right to use the service, not ownership of it.
6. Google Drive
Connecting Google Drive is optional. When an owner or admin connects it, Bilzie creates a folder for each billing month inside the parent folder they choose. Uploading invoices to those folders, and deciding who can see them, is up to you in Google Drive. Bilzie does not upload, move, or delete files, and it does not change sharing.
Your use of Google Drive is governed by Google's terms. We are not responsible for Google Drive's availability or for the files you keep there. Disconnecting Drive in Bilzie leaves the folders and files in your Drive.
7. Price
Bilzie is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you before any charge applies. You will never be charged without first agreeing to a price.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Bilzie to break the law or to infringe anyone else's rights.
- Store content in Bilzie that you have no right to keep or share.
- Try to access accounts, workspaces, or data that are not yours, or get around access checks or rate limits.
- Probe, scan, or test Bilzie's security without our written permission. Please report vulnerabilities to [email protected].
- Disrupt or overload the service, or access it with automated tools beyond normal use of its interface and exports.
- Copy, resell, or offer Bilzie as a service to others.
- Reverse-engineer it, except where the law allows this and the right cannot be excluded by agreement.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep Bilzie available and your data safe. We do not promise uninterrupted service, and maintenance or problems with our providers can make it temporarily unavailable.
We may improve, change, or remove features. If we decide to shut Bilzie down, we will give at least 30 days' notice. During that time you can still export your data.
10. Keep your own records
We back up the database regularly, but Bilzie is not an archive for records you must keep by law. If you need records for accounting or tax, keep your own copies. Use the CSV exports in Reports, and keep the invoices themselves where you store them.
11. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, Bilzie is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that it will be error-free, that its calculations will match your accounts, or that it will meet a legal or regulatory obligation you have.
Totals that combine currencies use European Central Bank reference rates and are estimates. They are not the amounts your bank or card provider charged.
Nothing in this section limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by agreement. See section 14.
12. Our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. That includes lost profit, lost data, missed payments or deadlines, late fees, and penalties arising from how you rely on Bilzie. Where we are liable, our liability is limited as far as the law allows.
We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Suspension and ending these terms
You can stop using Bilzie at any time. To delete your account, choose Delete account on your profile page. The Privacy Policy explains what deletion removes. If you own a workspace that other people still use, remove its other members first, or write to [email protected] to hand it over.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or that puts Bilzie or other users at risk. Unless the law or the risk prevents it, we will tell you why and give you a chance to export your data.
Sections that by their nature should survive the end of these terms survive it, including sections 5, 11, 12, and 14.
14. Governing law and your consumer rights
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia, and the courts of Latvia have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
If you are a consumer living in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live. You may also bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when Bilzie or the law changes. The current version is always at bilzie.com/terms-of-service, with its "Last updated" date. We will tell you about material changes in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Bilzie after that, the updated terms apply. If you do not accept them, stop using Bilzie and delete your account.
